Channel Account Associate
About the role
The Channel Account Associate at BioLegend provides customer service and sales support to the Business Development and Sales teams for transactions involving non-standard terms of sale. This role coordinates with internal departments to determine product availability, pricing, and lead times for both bulk materials and catalog items. The Associate uses a strong understanding of BioLegend's product lines, internal processes, and CRM/ERP systems to manage communication from the proposal stage through execution while maintaining organizational best practices in a high-volume environment.
Responsibilities
- Handle inquiries concerning customer contracts and projects, including customer qualification, sampling for validation, project feasibility, bulk/custom proposals, quotation generation, and inventory management.
- Vet all project proposals for legal restrictions, customer requirements, feasibility, cost, and margin.
- Coordinate internal groups and monitor timelines to ensure accurate and timely project completion.
- Act as a liaison between business development, sales, customer service, and other internal business units to ensure timely and courteous communication between customers and BioLegend.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for handling customer inquiries and communicating pertinent information.
- Develop, maintain, and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all processes related to custom business and nurture best practices within the organization.
- Use CRM and NAV databases to ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
- Perform other projects or responsibilities as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology or other Life Science OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or other related disciplines with at least 2 years of work experience in the biotechnology industry.
- Experience working in the biotech or pharma industry (preferred).
- Experience working in a laboratory setting (preferred).
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (Dynamics 365) (preferred).
- Experience with Customer Relations Management Systems (SalesForce) (preferred).
- Proficiency with intermediate to advanced Excel techniques (e.g., Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to professionally and clearly communicate with internal and external customers (email, phone, and in-person).
Work Environment & Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting with occasional exposure to a laboratory and warehouse environment. The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk, and hear.
Pay
The base salary range for this full-time position is $20.00 - $25.00/hour. The actual base pay offered will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
