TEKsystems · United States · 1 mo ago

Position Overview

The Change Adoption Lead is responsible for driving sustainable adoption of technology and process change across enterprise transformation initiatives. Operating within TEKsystems' established adoption framework, this role uses TEKsystems' adoption strategies to establish trust with sponsors and impacted audiences, anticipate and mitigate resistance, and embed change management into the rhythm of project delivery.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Trust & Relationship Management: Establish trust and credibility for the change effort with sponsors, executives, people leaders, and impacted audiences from day one of the engagement. Build and actively manage the network of relationships essential for change success — sponsors, change champions, business owners, technical leads, and end-user populations. Serve as a visible, consistent point of contact for change-related questions, escalations, and decisions throughout the engagement lifecycle.

  • Application of TEKsystems Adoption Strategies: Apply TEKsystems' adoption strategies to influence behavior change, build coalitions of support, and move stakeholders through awareness, understanding, commitment, and adoption. Proactively identify, assess, and manage stakeholder resistance using PA tools, readiness assessments, and targeted engagement tactics. Coach sponsors and people leaders to stand in front of the change, model new behaviors, and reinforce adoption within their teams.

  • Risk, Resistance, & Change Integration into Project Plans: Assess change-related risks, sources of resistance, and adoption barriers across impacted audiences and workstreams. Translate findings into mitigation strategies and integrate change management activities, milestones, and dependencies directly into the overall project plan — not as a side workstream. Monitor adoption risk indicators throughout delivery and recalibrate plans as conditions evolve.

  • Co-Management of Design Workshops & Change Strategy: Co-facilitate design workshops alongside business, technical, and learning partners to surface change impacts, capture future-state ways of working, and shape role-based adoption requirements. Contribute directly to the completion of the change strategy — including change impact analysis, stakeholder maps, sponsorship roadmaps, engagement plans, and communication frameworks. Ensure the change strategy stays aligned with project scope, guiding principles, and intended business outcomes.

  • Measurement, Lessons Learned, & Continuous Recalibration: Define and track effectiveness metrics tied to adoption health, behavior change, and business outcomes — not just activity counts like training completions or license utilization. Analyze adoption signals, surface trends, and translate insights into recommended interventions for sponsors and delivery leadership. Establish and report leading indicators of adoption risk and trigger early interventions based on data trends. Align adoption metrics to business value realization, including productivity, efficiency, and user effectiveness. Document lessons learned, codify reusable artifacts and best practices, and recalibrate change efforts iteratively to sustain adoption through hypercare and stabilization.

Required Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's preferred

  • 7 or more years of organizational change management, change adoption, or transformation consulting experience with demonstrated delivery on enterprise-scale technology initiatives (e.g., ERP, platform migrations, data/analytics modernization, AI enablement)

  • Demonstrated experience applying structured change methodologies in a client-facing or consulting environment

  • Proven track record of establishing sponsor relationships, managing resistance, and driving measurable adoption outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification or formal training in change management (e.g., Prosci, Kotter) or familiarity with lean / accelerated change approaches

  • Experience integrating change management into Agile or hybrid delivery models

  • Familiarity with AI adoption, human-centered change, and sponsor/leader enablement practices

  • Strong facilitation, executive communication, and coaching skills
