About the role
Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine invites applications and nominations for the position of Chair of the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. The new Chair will report to the Dean of the medical school and to the Chief Executive Officer of Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. In this role, the Chair is responsible for oversight of the academic, research, clinical and administrative affairs of the Department, in alignment with the mission of Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.
Responsibilities
- Oversee academic, research, clinical and administrative affairs of the Department
- Lead a department of over 100 faculty who provide exceptional patient care across a broad range of conditions through clinical affiliates
- Support training of future leaders in the field
- Engage in leading-edge translational and clinical research
Qualifications
- MD or MD/PhD with board certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
- Eligible for faculty appointment as a full-time professor
- Proven clinical and administrative skills
- Scholarly accomplishments and national recognition in a science or clinical discipline
Pay
The expected base pay range for this position is $528K - $700K. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
