Regional CDL A Delivery Driver
Location: 8966 E. State St. Rockford, IL

About the role

Picure yourself as a delivery driver with Gordon Food Service! In this position, you will be building relationships with customers while delivering food products essential to regional chain restaurants. Night shifts and regional routes mean you’ll be home most nights, with 1 or 2 overnights required each week. You’ll be required to unload cases up to 100 lbs, and you’ll be using a ramp and two-wheeler throughout your shift.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers
• Deliver food products to regional chain restaurants
• Unload cases up to 100 lbs
• Drive a two-wheeler
• Operate a ramp
• Work 4-day work week with overnights
• Depart Sunday night and return early Tuesday morning
• Depart Wednesday night and return early Friday morning
• Stay in a hotel paid for by GFS and receive per diem for meals

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License is REQUIRED
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• Registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent

Drivers average $85,000 - $95,000/year

Schedule
