How You'll Contribute to the Global Mission
- Assist pilots during all phases of flight by monitoring maintenance panels, clearing rotor blades, observing aircraft performance, and maintaining situational awareness for safe operations.
- Participate in daily pre-flight and post-flight inspections, ensuring the aircraft is operationally ready, clean, and maintained in excellent condition. This includes fueling, washing, and engine inspections.
- Maintain proficiency in Crew Resource Management (CRM), aircraft systems, and emergency procedures while monitoring air-to-air and air-to-ground communications.
- Provide continuous support for traffic collision avoidance and situational awareness.
- Operate helicopter role equipment, including external rescue hoists, mapping tools, cameras, and aerial firefighting systems such as fixed water tanks, hydraulic snorkels, buckets, and sling loads.
- Conduct detailed pre-flight inspections, fuel sampling, and assist with ground support equipment (GSE).
- Document maintenance in compliance with FAA and company regulations, supporting the Crew Chief or Assistant Crew Chief as required.
- Accurately review, maintain, and manage flight logs, aircraft records, and operational reports to ensure compliance and readiness.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations by analyzing conditions and taking appropriate action to ensure crew and mission safety.
What You'll Bring
