ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adheres to the Sanctuary model in guiding interactions with clients, families, and staff.
- Respects and values individual differences, actively supporting a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture.
- Supports psychiatric providers by preparing information for clients, obtaining vital signs, rooms clients for appointments, addressing prescription refill requests, tracking labs, and completing prior authorizations.
- Documents all medical assessments, phone calls, orders received, and reported concerns from clients in Avatar.
- Responds to clients' needs promptly and professionally, documenting accordingly.
- Ensures thorough, complete, and concise communication in Avatar.
HOURS AND REMUNERATION
The LPN/CMA position is a full-time role with hours assigned by the supervisor. Remuneration will be based on training, experience, and qualifications.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of liability insurance on own vehicle.
- Must pass and/or complete: New Staff Orientation, Mandatory Child Abuse Reporters Training, and Crisis Prevention Institute Training or similar course within the first six months of employment.
- CPR certification must be kept current throughout employment.
- Must have satisfactory background checks and meet federal fingerprinting requirements through the Division of Criminal Investigation and the Abuse Registries.
- Must have a valid license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant in Iowa.
- Preference will be given to candidates with pediatric and psychiatric experience.
- Must demonstrate competence in understanding the population served, providing individual and family services, engaging clients and providers in services, and commitment to safe, high-quality care.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing or hold a Certified Medical Assistant certificate.
- Pediatric and psychiatric experience preferred.
