About the role
Join a respected team delivering personalized, high-quality care to residents. This is a dedicated CFY position for new graduates pursuing ASHA CCC-SLP certification. You will have direct access to FEES and standardized assessments, providing valuable opportunities to enhance your clinical skills and competency.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders under mentor supervision.
- Create and implement individualized treatment plans as a CFY SLP, with ongoing feedback and guidance.
- Set clear goals, educate patients on expectations, and build understanding of therapy.
- Counsel patients and families while maintaining precise documentation for all visits, with mentor review to support your CFY requirements.
- Gain valuable exposure to FEES, standardized assessments, and advanced tools to enhance your clinical skills and competency.
Requirements
Must be a new graduate pursuing ASHA CCC-SLP certification. No prior experience required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
- Passing score on the Praxis II exam or equivalent.
- Current CPR certification.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using FEES and standardized assessment tools.
