CFT Field Technician 4

About the role

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Field Technician 4 to support our diverse team onsite in Palmdale CA, Pax River MD, or hybrid/remote. This role involves performing a variety of duties pertaining to aircraft electrical, mechanical, and composite assemblies, including installing, operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and modifying equipment and aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies aircraft systems at various site locations.
• Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance.
• Performs installations, upgrades, and removals of products ensuring repairs and modifications are performed per engineering field instructions.
• Maintains effective customer communications and relations.
• May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.
• Active U.S. government Secret clearance.
• Able to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable time as determined by the company to meet business needs.
• Able to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Able to acquire a US passport and travel up to 75% of the time.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with Global Hawk or Triton aircraft platforms preferred.
• Experience with electrical, structure, and composite layups and repairs preferred.

Skills

Must be able to translate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies to include: precision drilling, countersinking, and the use of calibrated tools.

Pay

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Schedule

Potentially up to 75% travel is to be expected.
