CFO Advisory, Accounting Advisory Manager
for sections present: About the role? Actually the posting includes description paragraphs. We need to decide sections: "About the role" maybe from first paragraph? The instruction: use for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). Use - for any list of duties/requirements/benefits, and
for prose. Do NOT repeat the job title as a heading. Do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short
or drop it. Preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. IMPORTANT: include a section ONLY when the posting has real, specific content for it — never emit a heading followed by filler/placeholder text (e.g. "commensurate with experience", "not specified", "N/A", "varies", "TBD") and never create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless the posting actually states them. Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones.
We need to extract sections: About the role (intro), Responsibilities (What You'll Do), Requirements/Qualifications (What You Bring), Benefits (Benefits Information), Pay (Pay Range). Possibly also "Why Cherry Bekaert Advisory?" could be part of About the role or separate? But we can combine.
We must not include sections with filler. Ensure we have actual content.
We need to output only HTML fragment, no /, no markdown fences.
Let's craft:
About the role
Due to continued growth within our CFO Advisory practice, Cherry Bekaert is seeking an Accounting Advisory Manager to join our national team. This role offers flexibility to work hybrid OR remotely with travel as needed to support client engagements and team collaboration. As a Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, partnering with Corporate Accounting and Finance teams to address complex accounting challenges, enhance financial reporting processes, and navigate evolving regulatory requirements. You will lead multiple client engagements, manage project teams, and deliver solutions across technical accounting, SEC reporting, financial transformation, and transaction-related initiatives. Our industry-focused teams support clients across Financial Services, Industrial & Consumer Goods, Private Equity, Professional Services, Real Estate, Construction & Hospitality, Technology, and Life Sciences, delivering practical solutions that address immediate needs while positioning organizations for future growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple client engagements, serving as a key point of contact and trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support and optimize financial close processes, helping clients improve efficiency, accuracy, and reporting timelines.
- Assist clients with accounting transformation initiatives, including cash-to-accrual conversions, opening balance sheet preparation, and purchase accounting.
- Guide organizations through audit readiness efforts and support interactions with external auditors.
- Lead technical accounting projects involving complex accounting matters, including ASC 480, ASC 606, ASC 718, ASC 805, ASC 815, and ASC 842.
- Advise clients on IPO, SPAC, and SEC reporting matters, including disclosure and compliance requirements.
- Prepare and review financial statements, footnote disclosures, accounting memos, reconciliations, audit support schedules, and SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K.
- Mentor and develop team members while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing culture.
- Partner with senior leadership to identify opportunities to enhance client service and expand engagement scope.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Active CPA license highly preferred
- 5 or more years of experience within public accounting, advisory, or industry accounting environments.
- Experience supporting SEC registrants, public companies, and/or private equity-backed organizations.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and a demonstrated interest in researching and resolving complex accounting issues.
- Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, or SEC reporting processes.
- Proven project management skills, including the ability to prioritize competing demands and lead engagements from planning through completion.
- Ability to manage multiple client relationships and work effectively in both independent and team environments.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with finance leaders, executives, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to travel approximately 25-40% based on client and business needs.
Benefits
Cherry Bekaert offers competitive compensation packages based on performance that recognize the value our people bring to our clients and our Firm. In addition, we offer a comprehensive, high-quality benefits program which includes annual bonus, medical, dental, and vision care; disability and life insurance; generous Paid Time Off; retirement plans; Paid Care Leave; and other programs that are dedicated to enhancing your personal and work life and providing you and your family with a measure of financial protection.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $106,900 to $171,000. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
We should also maybe include "Why Cherry Bekaert Advisory?" but that's more promotional; could be part of About the role. But we already have About the role covering that. The "What You Can Expect From Us" section includes values etc. Could be part of Benefits or About the role. However we already have Benefits covering compensation and benefits; the "What You Can Expect From Us" includes shared values, opportunity to innovate, collaborative environment, competitive compensation, flexibility, opportunities to connect. Some of that is overlapping with Benefits and About the role. To avoid duplication, we could incorporate those points into About the role or Benefits. But we must preserve ALL substantive information; we cannot omit details like "shared values that foster inclusion and belonging including uncompromising integrity, collaboration, trust, and mutual respect", "opportunity to innovate and do work that motivates and engages you", "collaborative environment focused on enabling you to further your career growth and continuous professional development", "Competitive compensation and a total rewards package that focuses on all aspects of your wellbeing", "Flexibility to do impactful work and the time to enjoy your life outside of work", "Opportunities to connect and learn from professionals from different backgrounds and with different cultures". These are substantive and not covered elsewhere. We need to include them. Where to put? Could be a section "What You Can Expect" but not in the list of allowed headings? The allowed headings list includes About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. "What You Can Expect" is not in the list but we could treat it as part of About the role or Benefits. However the instruction: "use for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." It says e.g., meaning those are examples, not exclusive. So we could use other headings if appropriate, but better to stick to those. We could incorporate that content into About the role or Benefits. Since About the role already describes the role, we could add a paragraph after the intro about what you can expect. That would preserve all info.
Similarly, "Why Cherry Bekaert Advisory?" also promotional; could be merged into About the role.
Thus we need to ensure we don't lose any substantive info.
Let's rewrite About the role to include the promotional paragraphs.
Original About the role paragraph: "Due to continued growth within our CFO Advisory practice, Cherry Bekaert is seeking an Accounting Advisory Manager to join our national team. Our industry-focused teams support clients across Financial Services, Industrial & Consumer Goods, Private Equity, Professional Services, Real Estate, Construction & Hospitality, Technology, and Life Sciences, delivering practical solutions that address immediate needs while positioning organizations for future growth."
Then we have "What You'll Do" (responsibilities) separate.
Then "What You Bring" (requirements).
Then "Why Cherry Bekaert Advisory?" paragraph: "Join a growing national practice where you'll work alongside experienced accounting and finance professionals, solve complex business challenges, and help shape the future of our clients' organizations while accelerating your own career growth. This version should read as more consultative, modern, and attractive to candidates coming from Big 4, national firms, SEC reporting teams, technical accounting groups, or controllership functions."
Then "What You Can Expect From Us" bullet-ish but actually prose: list of items.
Then "Benefits Information" paragraph.
Then "Pay Range" paragraph.
We need to incorporate all.
Thus About the role could be expanded to include the "Why Cherry Bekaert Advisory?" and "What You Can Expect From Us" and maybe the benefits summary? But we have separate Benefits section for details. We could keep Benefits section for the detailed benefits, and put the high-level expectations in About the role.
Let's craft About the role as:

That captures all.
Now Benefits section: we already have a Benefits paragraph describing compensation package, annual bonus, medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, PTO, retirement, Paid Care Leave, etc. We'll keep that.
Pay section: we have salary range.
We should not include Schedule section because not mentioned.
Now ensure we didn't include any boilerplate like EEO, legal disclosures, application instructions, etc. We removed those.
Check for any duplicated lines: we didn't repeat.
Now output HTML fragment.
