CFD Analyst (Mission Critical/Data Center)

About the role

Utilize CFD tools to solve physics-based problems related to indoor and outdoor building flows, thermal comfort, contaminant dispersion and condensation controls. Improve existing analytical capabilities by developing and improving best practices, automating processes, and streamlining workflows. Maintain working knowledge of relevant computational fluids research in the building mechanical field with proactive research. Documentation, reporting, and making technical presentations of engineering solutions to design teams and clients. Work independently while communicating and coordinating with other engineering disciplines and project managers.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related discipline
• 3+ years of relevant work experience
• Knowledgeable on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, and Building Mechanical Systems
• Ability to perform quality work within deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree
• Demonstrated experience in understanding and using CFD analysis software (FloEFD, STAR CCM+, Fluent, FDS, OpenFOAM, 6SigmaRoom)
• Familiarity with software development for writing User Defined Functions (UDF) for commercial software
• Experience in programming languages such as Python, C++ and Java
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills, planning & organizing skills, decision making and time management skill
• Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to clearly communicate research findings through presentations and reports
• Strong drive for results and continuous improvement

Pay

Expected Salary: $91,000 - $129,000
