Certified Welding Inspector CWI (USA)
About the role
Pennoni Construction Services, headquartered in King of Prussia, PA, is seeking full-time and part-time AWS Certified Welding Inspectors for off-site fabrication shops producing bridge and highway products for transportation agencies.
Responsibilities
- Inspection of welding, steel fabrication, coatings, expansion joints, bridge bearings, sign structures, bridge beams, drainage structures, and other materials.
- Monitoring work for compliance with approved shop drawings, standards, and specifications.
- Communicating and meeting with fabricators, clients, and engineers.
- Producing daily written shop reports.
Requirements
- Minimum Education: High School.
- Minimum Years of Experience: 3.
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector.
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work well independently and with others.
- Reliable transportation required.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience performing QA/QC during bridge fabrication, including fracture critical materials (FCM).
- Non-Destructive Testing [NDT] certifications (e.g.: UT, MT, PT).
- Experience performing QA/QC of bridge and highway structures.
- AWS D1.1/D1.5 Experience.
- Coating Inspection experience.
