About the Role
Pennoni Construction Services, headquartered in King of Prussia, PA, is currently seeking full-time and part-time AWS Certified Welding Inspectors for off-site fabrication shops throughout the USA that produce bridge and highway products for transportation agencies.
Responsibilities
- Inspection of welding, steel fabrication, coatings, expansion joints, bridge bearings, sign structures, bridge beams, drainage structures, and other materials
- Monitoring work for compliance with approved shop drawings, standards, and specifications
- Communicating and meeting with fabricators, clients, and engineers
- Production of daily written shop reports
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Education: High School
- Minimum years of experience: 3
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work well independently and with others
- Reliable transportation required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience performing QA/QC during bridge fabrication, including fracture critical material (FCM)
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) certifications (e.g.: UT, MT, PT)
- Experience performing QA/QC of bridge and highway structures
- AWS D1.1/D1.5 Experience
- Coating Inspection experience
