Certified Welding Inspector – CWI - Full Time/Part Time - Green Bay, WI

About the Role

Pennoni is currently seeking full-time and part time AWS Certified Welding Inspectors in the Green Bay, WI area for fabrication shops that produce bridge and highway products for transportation agencies.

Responsibilities

• Inspection of welding, steel fabrication, coatings, expansion joints, bridge bearings, sign structures, bridge beams, drainage structures, and other materials
• Monitoring work for compliance with approved shop drawings, standards, and specifications
• Communicating and meeting with fabricators, clients, and engineers
• Production of daily written shop reports

Requirements

• Minimum Education: High School
• Minimum years of experience: 3
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work well independently and with others
• Need reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience performing QA/QC of bridge fabrication
• Non-Destructive Testing [NDT] certifications (e.g.: UT, MT, PT)
• AWS D1.1/D1.5 Experience
• Coating Inspection experience
