About the role
The role involves quality assurance on behalf of Bureau Veritas's client, alongside on-site inspections during the construction phase.
Responsibilities
- Communicating with Project Managers to determine the specific requirements of a given work order, including the scope of work, deliverables, schedule, and budget for a particular assignment.
- Communicating with Project Managers, fabrication shops, contractors, BV employees, and other third parties to resolve issues.
- Generating, processing, and/or responding to timesheets, billing reports, expense reports, emails, instant messages, and inspection reports in an expeditious/thorough manner, complying with all applicable deadlines.
- Maintaining a positive relationship between Bureau Veritas, the fabrication facility, and the client.
- Using a camera (smartphone) and ability to insert photos into a document for client reports.
- Ensuring the services provided are performed in accordance with the project requirements and contract with the client.
- Using PPE: Ability to identify situations where additional PPE (outside of standard issue) is required.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
- Fiscal ability to pay travel expenses for 1-2 weeks in advance.
- Ability to multi-task and properly execute multiple simultaneous assignments without sacrificing efficiency or quality of the work.
- Team player willing to work with clients, field staff, other Bureau Veritas offices, and the world wide Bureau Veritas organization.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in a similar position.
- Proficiency with Desktop Computers/Laptops/Tablets and Microsoft Office Applications (including, but not limited to: Outlook, MS Teams, Word, Excel, and MS Calendar).
- Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and other word processing/document control software as needed.
- Non-Destructive Testing Level II (UT-SW OR UT-T) or NACE/AMPP Level 2 certification.
Skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Technical understanding of design and fabrication plans and specifications.
- Positive client orientation with emphasis on understanding and fulfilling client needs.
- Detail-oriented with a dedication to the quality control and quality assurance process.
- Ability to work remotely, on-site, and from established Bureau Veritas offices/work sites.
