Duties And Responsibilities
- Previous structural fabrication inspection (QC or QA) experience
- NDT Level I or Level II certification: UT, MT, PT and VTF
- Familiarity and experience with AWS D1.5 and AWS D1.1
- Perform third party DOT structural steel fabrication quality assurance inspection and reporting
- Utilize applicable ASTM and AASHTO construction specifications
- Read and interpret shop drawings, specifications, and all other project documents to verify compliance
- Work closely with other fabrication, construction, and quality personnel in a courteous and professional manner
- Familiarity with inspecting and reporting high strength FCM welds
- Familiarity with steel bridge fabrication
- Use the following: Laptop computer, reporting programs, inspection tools, and other required technology
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Word, internet, report writing, file (photograph and other) attachments
- Develop and maintain client relations
Qualifications
- American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
- 3 years minimum project experience with structural steel fabrication
- NDT certification strongly preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good Driving Record (driver license will be verified)
- Ability to pass pre-hire drug screening/testing
