About the role
VCA All Animal Hospital of Orange Park is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician to join a dynamic team focused on providing exceptional care to patients and clients. This is a hands-on role where your skills and experience will be utilized in various aspects of veterinary medicine.
Responsibilities
- Performs and assists with physical exams, gathering patient histories and vitals for the veterinary team
- Administers vaccines, medications, and treatments as directed, with accurate dosing and documentation
- Plays an active role in anesthesia management, including induction, maintenance, and monitoring vitals during procedures
- Assists in surgery, including prepping instruments, sterilizing equipment, and performing minor surgical procedures
- Supports diagnostic imaging, including radiography and basic lab work
- Provides dental care support, including cleanings, polishing, and radiographs
- Communicates with clients on preventive care, nutrition, medications, and at-home care instructions
- Maintains accurate medical records and communicates clearly with veterinarians and the care team
- Supports patient comfort and handling across a variety of routine and more involved cases
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A valid Florida Veterinary Technician license
- Experience in a veterinary setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Completion of a recognized veterinary technician program
- Experience with anesthesia and surgical procedures
- Knowledge of dental care techniques

Pay
$20.00 - $26.00/hr based on skill set, experience, and licensure status
Schedule
Full-time (4) 10-hour shifts, rotating Saturdays
