Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists is seeking a full-time Anesthesia Float Certified Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency & Specialty teams in Scottsdale, AZ.

About the role

You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing exceptional anesthesia and patient care across our Emergency and Specialty teams. Your responsibilities will range from preparing patients for procedures and administering anesthetic protocols to monitoring complex cases and supporting recovery. You’ll collaborate closely with clinicians to ensure safe, compassionate care from admission through discharge.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for procedures
  • Administer anesthetic protocols
  • Monitor complex anesthetic cases (ASA III-V)
  • Support patient recovery
  • Collaborate with clinicians to ensure safe, compassionate care from admission through discharge
  • Obtain and interpret vital signs (Blood pressure, ECG, SpO2, and ETCO2)
  • Integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care)
  • Active and current CVT/RVT/LVT certification
  • Superior/advanced technical skills in anesthesia
  • Experience with anesthetic cases ASA III-V in a veterinary clinic setting
  • Strong anesthesia skills, including monitoring and interpreting vital signs
  • Positive work attitude and self-motivation
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organization skills
