Certified Teacher - Kindergarten

About the role

The position is classified as a Certified Teacher and a Teacher on Contract, requiring a current and active Arizona Standard Professional Teaching Certificate or an Alternative Teacher Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Support the Catholic Mission of the School by aligning with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Model Gospel values and live a faithful Catholic life, participating in faith community activities.
• Teach using a Catholic religious curriculum and demonstrate competence in subject matter.
• Plan and prepare lessons, evaluate student progress, and manage classroom discipline.
• Teach in an online learning environment and use Google Classroom or similar platforms.
• Work collaboratively with the school and diocesan administration, and maintain confidentiality.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and comply with school policies.

Requirements

• A working knowledge of and commitment to fostering lay leadership in the Roman Catholic Church.
• If a baptized Catholic, must be a practicing Roman Catholic in full communion with the Church.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain Level I Diocesan Ministry Certification.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Proficiency in computer technology and maintaining confidentiality.
• Flexibility in adapting to a ministerial environment and meeting the needs of the school.

Qualifications

• Completed bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Certified by the State of Arizona as a Teacher with renewal per state law.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain Level I Diocesan Ministry Certification.
