About the role

Join LearnWell as a teacher in Oakbrook, IL, working year-round in a residential eating disorder facility. This position involves providing academic support to school-age patients in a small classroom setting (typically 8–15 students) as they receive treatment. You’ll plan and deliver daily lesson plans, offer individualized assistance, and communicate student progress while adapting teaching strategies to ensure success.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lesson plans tailored to school-age patients in a residential treatment setting.
• Provide individualized academic support and assistance to students.
• Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to meet student needs and ensure success.
• Maintain accurate attendance and session reports.
• Communicate regularly about student progress with relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

• B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
• Illinois state teaching license.
• Comfortable working with adolescent students.
• Strong organizational skills and understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs.
• Reliable transportation.

Schedule

Year-round, 30 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–2:00 PM.

Pay

Compensation ranges: LBS1 $32–$35/hour, General Education $26–$28/hour.
