Certified Surgical Technologist

Travel position with estimated gross weekly pay of $2,100 ($854 taxable pay + $1,246 non-taxable stipends) for 40 hours.

Schedule

• Evening shift: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 8-hour shifts
• Weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage required
• Must be able to arrive at the facility within 30 minutes when called in

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile operating room environment for surgical procedures
• Scrub and assist surgeons during a variety of surgical cases, with a strong focus on orthopedic procedures
• Set up, inspect, and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Assist with the preparation, positioning, and care of surgical patients
• Operate and assist with Da Vinci Robotic Surgery cases
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection prevention and hospital safety standards
• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment according to established protocols
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, RNs, and the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient patient care
• Precept and mentor new staff as needed
• Perform additional departmental duties as assigned

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Certified Surgical Technologist program
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required
• Previous travel Surgical Technologist experience required
• Recent Operating Room experience required
• Recent Orthopedic surgical experience required
• Recent scrub experience required
• Experience assisting with Da Vinci robotic surgery required
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, and surgical procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced Operating Room environment
