Certified Surgical Technician, Inpatient Surgery (36 hours, Day/Evening) - Sign On Bonus Available

About the role
As a member of the surgical team, the surgical technician provides patient care during surgical procedures by ensuring an aseptic and safe environment. Duties include prepping and sterilizing rooms, transporting patients, passing instruments, and assisting surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other staff during surgery. Uses technical and aseptic techniques to ensure compliance with established sterile standards and procedures.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited/approved program in surgical technology (or completed an Armed Forces medic or corpsmen program)
- Surgical Technician certification required (unless employed as a surgical technologist in a surgical facility on or before July 1, 2013)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Qualifications
- Previous surgical tech experience preferred
- Ability to effectively speak, read, and write English
- Ability to accurately interpret and use medical terminology and abbreviations
- Computer proficiency to access and enter computerized data/information
- Effective interpersonal skills to interact appropriately with patients, families, physicians, and other hospital staff
- Organizational skills to set priorities and complete assigned work efficiently

This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus:
- $10,000 sign-on bonus for candidates with over 1 year of multi-specialty experience, paid out after successfully completing 6 months of employment
- $5,000 sign-on bonus for candidates with less than 1 year or single specialty experience, paid out after successfully completing 6 months of employment

Pay
Compensation range: $38.94–$49.38 per hour. This range is based on minimum job qualifications; actual base pay considers education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to the position.
Schedule
36 hours per week, Day/Evening shift, every third weekend, call required.
