About the role

This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus. The Surgical Technologist demonstrates basic knowledge and skills in the scrub role, necessary to provide assistance during surgical procedures performed in the department.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aseptic technique
• Set up required equipment, instrumentation, and sterile supplies for assigned cases
• Scrub and pass instruments and equipment during surgical procedures
• Pull cases as needed
• Break down cases at the end of the procedure
• Set up operating room and supplies needed for the day or following day’s schedule
• Be available for call on an assigned scheduled basis as required by unit need
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited surgical technology program (required)
• Associate degree (preferred)
• 1 year of experience (preferred)

Qualifications

• AHA BLS certification (required)
• Surgical Technology certification (required)
