About the role
We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technician to provide intra-operative support and assist the surgical team during procedures.
Responsibilities
- Handling instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Maintaining a sterile field
- Preparing operating rooms
- Conducting sponge, instrument, and needle counts
- Operating and documenting equipment use
- Handling specimens
- Assisting with safety precautions and continuous case assessment
- Collaborating with circulating nurses
- Participating in quality improvement activities
Requirements
- Certification as a Surgical Technician
- CPR certification
- Knowledge of operative procedures, equipment, and instrumentation
- Excellent customer service and basic computer skills
- Preferably two years of hospital surgical experience
Skills
- Strong understanding of surgical technology
- Proficiency in medical terminology
- Adherence to safety protocols
