Position Summary
Under the department leadership, the Instrument Technician is responsible to provide support services in the perioperative setting, including main OR, Short Stay Unit, and the PACU and all other hospital departments.
Cleaning and Sterilization
- Cleans, assembles equipment, sterilizes and disinfects supplies, instruments, and equipment according to established policies and procedures.
- Accurately documents the sterilization process.
Experience and Education
- Previous experience in sterile processing or current certification in sterile processing required.
- A high school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent required.
- Completion of a sterile processing course or equivalent work experience in instrument processing required.
Licensure and Certifications
- Certification from HSPA – CRCST or CBSPD – CSPDT required.
Work Hours
- Full time NOC shift 10pm-6:30am SUN-THUR
Pay Range
- Pay range based on years of applicable experience: $37.61 to $50.32
Shift Differentials
- HOURLY EVENING SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL: $2.17
- HOURLY NIGHT SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL: $3.26
