About the Role
Responsible for performing and supporting all aspects of decontamination, cleaning, assembly, packaging, sterilization, storage, and distribution of reusable surgical instruments and equipment. Ensures the highest standards of patient safety and confidentiality while demonstrating professional conduct in alignment with established organizational standards.
Responsibilities
- Adheres to strict Universal Precautions and Blood-Borne Pathogens protocol
- Maintains highest standard of sterile technique, when applicable
- Assists in maintaining a safe and aseptic environment for patient and staff
- Practices good judgement in determining appropriate actions and exhibits control in emergency situations
- Strives to become and remain proficient in all aspects of employment by participating in educational opportunities
- Delivers care according to established organizational goals and objectives
- Participates in the QA/QI program by assisting in the planning and implementation of creative approaches to patient care
- Utilizes good judgment in organizing and establishing patient care priorities, working within time constraints to keep the operative schedule flowing smoothly
- Ensures all surgical instruments are in useful and effective working condition
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of Sterile Processing class
- Certified as a CSPDT
- At least one year Sterile Processing experience
Preferred Qualifications
- BLS certification
Schedule
Full-time position, Monday-Friday, no weekends or holidays.
Typical shift: 6:30am-3:00pm, with occasional need for 8:30am-5:00pm.

Accountable for patients during their perioperative experience. Surgical specialties include: general surgery, ophthalmology, endoscopies, and bariatric, with plans to add more specialties. Demonstrates technical and operational knowledge and applies these skills in the clinical setting. Collaborates with physicians and ancillary services in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintains highest standard of sterile technique, when applicable
- Performs surgical counts with circulator, when applicable
- Keeps proficient and knowledgeable of surgeon’s needs, techniques, and requirements
- Anticipates the surgeon’s needs in either the scrub or circulating role
- Assists in maintaining a safe and aseptic environment for patient and staff
- Uses proper technique for specimens and cultures, as directed by policies and procedures
- Administers drugs and manages drug-related problems
- Contains knowledge of anesthetic agents, techniques, actions, and interactions
- Demonstrates arrhythmia recognition and treatment
- Collaborates with staff and healthcare professionals to ensure customer satisfaction and shared goals
Requirements
- Current licensure as an RN in the State of Delaware
- 1 year prior Operating Room experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- 2 years prior Operating Room experience
- CNOR certification
- BLS and ACLS certifications (possess/obtain within 3 months of hire)
Schedule
Full-time position, Monday-Friday, no weekends or holidays.
Typical OR shift: 7:00am-3:30pm, with shifts as late as 8:30am-5:00pm.

Provides continuity of care to meet individual patient needs, assuming responsibility and accountability with collaboration from other healthcare providers. Administers diligent care to outpatients via monitoring, assessment, intervention, and continuous reassessment. The post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) nurse provides care for post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia.

- BLS and ACLS certifications (possess/obtain within 3 months of hire)
- 1 year direct experience in ambulatory surgery
Schedule
Full-time position, Monday-Friday, no weekends or holidays.
Pre-Op shift range: 5:00am-1:30pm, with shifts as late as 6:30am-3:00pm.
PACU shift range: 7:30am-4:00pm, with shifts as late as 12:00pm-8:30pm.
Applicant is expected to perform both PreOp and PACU roles.

- Maintains proficiency and knowledge of surgeon’s needs, techniques, and requirements in the scrub or CSR role
- Processes and cares for specimens and cultures as directed by set policies
- Possesses knowledge of anesthetic agents, techniques, actions, and interactions
- Delivers care according to established organizational goals and objectives
- Maintains surgical instruments in good working condition
- Processes and sterilizes instruments and equipment according to manufacturer’s and AMII recommendations
- Replenishes sterile supplies as needed
- Assists in ordering supplies, maintaining inventories, and storing supplies appropriately
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist School
- At least one year of Operating Room experience
Preferred Qualifications
- BLS certification
- Cath lab experience
