Certified Speech-Language Pathologist or Assistant

About the role

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will diagnose and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients aged 0-21. They will assess patient abilities, develop personalized treatment plans, and deliver therapy using evidence-based practices. The SLP will also educate and support patients and families, maintain comprehensive records, collaborate with other healthcare professionals, and supervise the Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA).

Responsibilities

• Educate and support patients and families.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Collaborate with other professionals and refer when necessary.
• Stay current with new research and techniques.
• Adapt treatment for diverse populations.
• Oversee SLPAs.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) or equivalent (required for Colorado Department of Education licensure).
• Must be eligible for licensure through the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• ASHA Certification preferred.
• Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
