About the Role

Pharmacy Technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and patient records. They work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist and must staff majority of time in a hazardous compounding role.

Responsibilities

• Aid in the preparation and distribution of medications
• Maintain drug inventory and patient records
• Work independently and collaboratively in teams
• Perform tasks that require good verbal and written communication skills
• Use computers and computer systems such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Staff majority of time in a hazardous compounding role

Requirements

• Annual sterile compounding competency CE completed through current sterile compounding competency program
• Annual hazardous drug compounding competency CE completed through current sterile compounding competency within 90 days of hire
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1-2 years related experience

Qualifications

• Must be certified as a Pharmacy Technician through a nationally accredited Pharmacy organization
• Registered with the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician or application in process upon hire and obtained within 90 days of hire

Skills

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams
• Proficient in using computers and computer systems such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
