About the role
The Obstetrical Technician provides patient care under the direct supervision of the Physician and the Registered Nurse.
Responsibilities
- Selects, assembles, tests, and operates equipment and instruments in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the obstetrical procedure while applying principles of sterile technique.
- Performs as a primary scrub person.
- Contributes to expected patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Education: High School or GED
- Licenses/Certifications: CST, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NBSTS
