About the role
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at Deaconess Jennie Stuart Health is responsible for administering anesthesia care for various surgical and obstetrical procedures. They evaluate, formulate, and implement an anesthesia care plan, monitor patient reactions, and adjust the plan as necessary. Additionally, they transport patients between locations and oversee the postoperative care.
Responsibilities
- Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care for scheduled and emergency surgical and obstetrical procedures.
- Evaluate, formulate, and carry out an anesthesia care plan, including monitoring and recording patient reactions to anesthesia and modifying the anesthetic plan accordingly.
- Transport patients to and from an anesthetizing location and ensure appropriate care during the postoperative period.
- Supervise, instruct, and provide feedback to student nurse anesthetists to ensure patient safety.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Current Kentucky RN license.
- Current Kentucky CRNA license.
- At least 3 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Completion of a CRNA program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA).
Qualifications

Pay
W2 Base Salary (before call): $316,800 ($180/Hr)
1099 Base Salary (before call): $352,800 ($215/Hr)
Call includes an approximately 1 in 7 rotation. Call compensation is in addition to base compensation.
Schedule
This position is full-time with 80 hours per pay period.
