This 1.0 FTE/ Full-time position is scheduled for 8-HR variable shifts 40 hours a week, scheduled call required.

Compensation

Exempt, $300,000 - $346,000 annually

Job Summary

Administers anesthesia to patients undergoing various diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical and obstetric procedures. Ensures patient safety by closely monitoring anesthetized and sedated patients. Reports on patient's conditions and reactions throughout procedures.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Examines patient's histories for illnesses or allergies that will affect anesthesia.
• Conducts pre-anesthesia assessment of patient; provides education to patient about procedure and recovery as well as impacts of anesthesia.
• Orders appropriate diagnostic/laboratory studies.
• Administers pre-anesthetic medication, general anesthesia and adjuvant drugs; determines type, amount, dosages.
• Maintains intraoperative monitoring and manages patient's responses.
• Conducts post-anesthesia assessment and management.
• Executes regional anesthesia techniques to include: neuraxial blocks (spinals/epidurals) and peripheral nerve blocks (interscalene, axillary, supraclavicular, adductor canal, femoral, popliteal, bier, TAP).

Required Education and Experience

• Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.
