Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Role Summary: Provides anesthesia care in the Operating Room to support surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures under supervision. Responsibilities include preoperative evaluation, intraoperative anesthesia management, postoperative follow-up, and patient advocacy. Acts as a liaison between patients, families, and physicians. Key Duties Anesthetizes patients, selects drugs for anesthesia and emergencies, and maintains anesthesia during procedures.Monitors patient status, interprets hemodynamic waveforms, and adjusts medications accordingly.Communicates patient condition to surgical team and responds to codes, maintaining airway and patient stability.Performs thorough preoperative evaluations, organizes OR setup, and conducts diagnostic equipment checks.Coordinates with staff to ensure a safe environment, including patient positioning and equipment troubleshooting.Provides anesthesia support, charts accurately in EMR, and ensures safe patient transport.Serves as a mentor and preceptor to peers, staff, residents, and students. Qualifications & Skills: Master's Degree in Nursing required; strong communication, monitoring, and teamwork skills; ability to respond swiftly to emergencies and collaborate effectively in a clinical setting.
