Within this Level 1 Trauma Center, the radiology department supports a full spectrum of emergency and inpatient care, including complex trauma, stroke, cardiac, orthopedic, and neurosurgical cases. You will be part of a team that values clinical excellence, continuous learning, and collaboration. The environment is fast-paced but supportive, with a strong focus on patient safety, communication, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging for emergency department patients, trauma activations, inpatients, and surgical cases.
- Complete portable radiography in the emergency department, intensive care units, and patient floors.
- Support imaging in the operating room for orthopedic and other surgical procedures.
- Perform routine and urgent imaging in designated radiology suites.
- Prioritize STAT and trauma cases.
- Work closely with providers to clarify orders.
- Ensure timely completion and transmission of images for interpretation.
Requirements
- Certified Radiology Technologist (ARRT-R certification).
- Hospital experience, preferably in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
- State of Rhode Island license and ARRT certification.
- BLS certification (preferred).
