About the role

The facility offers a community-focused care environment with modern diagnostic imaging equipment and a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and patient-centered service. Radiology Technologists here are valued members of the care team and are supported by collaborative relationships with radiologists, nurses, and other allied health professionals.

In this role, you will perform a wide range of general diagnostic radiographic examinations, including routine outpatient imaging, inpatient imaging, emergency department studies, and portable exams. Typical procedures may include chest radiographs, skeletal studies, spine imaging, abdomen imaging, and fluoroscopic support for procedures based on physician orders and facility capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate patient positioning, technique selection, and image acquisition to meet diagnostic standards.
  • Check imaging orders for appropriateness, verify patient identity and consent, and explain procedures to patients.
  • Conduct radiographic exams, ensure radiation safety for patients and staff, and prioritize urgent or emergent cases with providers.
  • Use digital imaging systems and PACS for image processing and transmission.
  • Coordinate workflow with the radiology reading room and other departments.
  • Work independently within established protocols while collaborating with experienced colleagues and medical staff.

Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, and weekend or holiday rotations. Patient volumes and acuity can vary, with a mix of scheduled outpatient exams and unscheduled inpatient or emergency studies. The role offers the opportunity to build rapport with patients and families, providing continuity of care in a community setting.

Requirements

  • Certified Radiology Technologist (RAD-NY license).
  • ARRT certification (CERT-ARRT-R).

Preferred Qualifications

  • New York licensed Radiology Technologists with ARRT certification.
  • Experience performing Cat Scan and/or Mammography.
  • Ability to work across multiple modalities, as the facility is a smaller, rural hospital.

Pay

$2,415.00 - $2,488.00 per week.

Schedule

  • 13-week assignment.
