Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - Medicaid/Medicare

For our client, we are seeking a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - Medicaid/Medicare to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. This role will support complex accounting and compliance activities tied to Medicaid and Medicare cost reporting, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, regulatory adherence, and audit readiness. The position partners closely with clients to reconcile financial information, research guidance, and resolve reporting discrepancies while also overseeing a team of accountants. The work is highly detail-oriented and combines technical accounting expertise, healthcare reimbursement knowledge, and supervisory responsibility. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 annually Responsibilities Prepare and finalize complex Medicaid cost reports and filings, ensuring compliance with regulations Analyze revenues and expenditures for cost reporting Research accounting guidance and program regulations for accurate reporting Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances Coordinate with clients to clarify transaction details and resolve discrepancies Assist with external audits by preparing schedules and workpapers Document accounting methodologies to support audit readiness Supervise a team of accountants Qualifications Certified Public Accountant license required Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field; Master's degree preferred 7+ years of prior accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP Supervisory experience required Experience with Medicare regulations and reimbursement manual Benefits Medical and dental care benefits 401(k) plan Paid time off (PTO) Parental leave Bereavement leave Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
