About the role

This opportunity is ideal for a clinician with experience in Prosthetist and/or Orthotist roles. You'll work in a dynamic, growing environment with a mix of adult and pediatric patients, fostering a collaborative and supportive clinic culture. Responsibilities

  • Clinically assess and evaluate patient needs, formulating treatment plans and ensuring patient satisfaction with prosthetic and orthotic devices.
  • Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and referral sources to develop and enhance business relationships and secure ongoing referrals.
  • Provide in-service training to physicians and allied health care professionals, and mentor residents or newly certified clinicians.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, Medicare guidelines, and OSHA requirements.
  • Perform on-call duties, hospital calls, and float between multiple clinics as needed.

Requirements

  • Current board certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics from the American Board for Certification (ABC) or the Board of Certification (BOC).
  • A baccalaureate degree in prosthetics and/or orthotics, or the foreign equivalent.
  • A valid driver’s license and driving record meeting Hanger’s standards.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain state licensure if required.

Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding of biomechanics, pathomechanics, gait analysis, kinesiology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Effective communication skills for presenting and reporting patient care services.
  • Ability to build professional relationships with physicians, therapists, and patients.
  • Organizational, time management, and planning skills.
  • Physical abilities to lift and move patients, walk, bend, stand, and reach frequently.

Skills

  • Exceptional clinical and technical skills in evaluating and designing prosthetic and orthotic devices.
  • Strong interpersonal and instructional skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and regulatory compliance.
