Certified Pharmacy Technician **SIGN-ON BONUS**

Job Summary

The Data Entry Technician is responsible for providing excellent customer service and accurately billing compounded preparations based on patient-specific prescriptions.

Job Activities and Responsibilities

• Data Entry Technician ensures accuracy of patient information and receives patient payments.
• Checks prescriptions for completeness and enters necessary information into the computer to generate labels and invoices (if necessary).
• Communicates with prescribers to obtain refill authorizations, handles patient refills by phone, and relays messages.
• Works under the supervision of a pharmacist and a departmental manager, who has the authority to direct work based on company needs.
• Maintains an organized and efficient workspace and investigates incidences/variances as needed, documenting them as necessary, including resolutions.
• Cross-trains to assist with large account orders.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• A high school diploma is preferred.
• A stated licensed Pharmacy Technician certification is required to perform fulfillment or compounding activities.
• An excellent work ethic, including a personal drive to excel independently, is essential.
• Solid PC skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software, are required.
• A certified technician preference is given.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Standing for extended periods.
• Fine motor skills.
• Visual acuity.
