About the role

This is a remote-based position for experienced Pharmacy Technicians in Operations. Duties will vary daily to ensure patients receive quality care, including phone work, navigating multiple pharmacy software systems, and supporting various stages of patient care. Responsibilities fluctuate based on organizational needs, allowing the Pharmacy Technician to develop multiple skill sets while providing an exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Review account billing for accuracy and communicate changes accordingly with patients
  • Coordinate patient profiles with appropriate pharmacy support and services
  • Provide an exceptional customer service experience each day in a phone-based environment
  • Perform claim adjudication and auditing duties such as prior authorizations, billing, and eligibility checks
  • Work through current case queues to problem solve for patient care issues
  • Conduct patient outreach to collect payments and coordinate payment plans
  • Serve as a liaison between clinical pharmacists and other medical professionals on the patient’s behalf
  • Maintain patient records with strong attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Accurately retrieve all prescription information and verify through doctor calls
  • Perform in a high-volume, fast-paced environment to support AnewHealth’s nationwide patient base

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Ohio Residents only
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Certified with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Health Association (NHA) and maintain a current certificate
  • Must maintain a pharmacy technician registration with State Board of Pharmacy
  • Must be 18+ years of age
  • Prior experience in a pharmacy setting

Physical/Mental Demands

This position is administrative in nature and requires hearing, seeing, sitting, standing, talking, and walking. The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to commute to multiple site locations within assigned territory. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
  • Full-time position with an expectation to work an average of 40 hours per week
  • Availability outside of normal business hours may be required on an ad-hoc basis to meet customer expectations
  • Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed
  • This is a remote position
