About the role

Join our team and play an essential role in delivering safe, accurate, and efficient medication support to patients and healthcare teams across our hospital. In this role, you'll work alongside Clinical Pharmacists, nurses, and physicians to ensure medications are prepared, delivered, and managed safely throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver medications across the hospital in accordance with established pharmacy policies and procedures
  • Manage and refill Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs) throughout the hospital
  • Handle and distribute controlled substances (Schedule II-VI medications) in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Pick, package, and restock medications accurately for inpatient units
  • Prepare and repackage unit-dose medications
  • Auxiliary with sterile and non-sterile medication compounding following established protocols
  • Provide excellent customer service to nurses, physicians, and healthcare staff
  • Support medication inventory management and ensure accurate transfers between pharmacy and hospital inventory locations
  • Escalate medication or patient care questions to the Clinical Pharmacist on duty

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program preferred
  • Previous experience as a Hospital Pharmacy Technician preferred
  • Experience working with Automated Dispensing Cabinets, medication preparation, or hospital pharmacy workflows is a plus

Qualifications

  • Active Pharmacy Technician Registration - Commonwealth of Massachusetts (required)
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and medication accuracy
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Comfortable using pharmacy software and computer systems
  • Ability to maintain confidential patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations

Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00 / Hourly
