About the role
Full-time position on a rotating shift schedule at the Burnet Campus Pharmacy.
Responsibilities
- Performs unit dose preparation for cartfill and first doses.
- Prepares non-sterile, non-hazard doses for first fill or cartfill, including oral syringes from liquid dosage forms.
- Delivers patient-specific doses and performs ADC replenishment.
- Performs outpatient phone triage, insurance adjudication, and medication storage inspections.
- Performs sterile compounding or non-sterile hazardous compounding.
- Under an authorized program, checks the work of another pharmacy technician (Tech Check Tech).
- Manages medication doses on the nursing unit in decentralized pharmacy operations.
- Performs inpatient phone triage.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of work experience in a Pharmacy Technician discipline.
- PTCB certified and Ohio Board of Pharmacy certified.
- Other national pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) is required; approved certifications include Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) and ExCPT Certification by the National Healthcareer Association.
Preferred
- Previous experience working as a Pharmacy Tech in a hospital environment.
Pay
Starting pay range: $20.57 – $25.72 per hour, based on experience, skills, and equity; exceptions may apply for highly qualified candidates. Expected pay range: $23.00 – $26.47 per hour.
