Located at 10031 Nash Road, VCU Health Chesterfield Pavilion will be a four-story, approximately 100,000-square-foot ambulatory surgery center and medical office building, bringing comprehensive, patient-centered outpatient care closer to residents in one of Virginia’s largest counties. Scheduled to open in April 2027, the state-of-the-art facility will bring together surgical services, diagnostics, infusion therapy, pharmacy services, innovative care models, and more in a single, convenient location for Chesterfield residents. Responsibilities

• Aid pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical care services to patients by assisting in the preparation, dispensing, record keeping, and transporting of medications for all age groups (neonatal, pediatric, adolescence, adult, geriatric).
• Perform the required duties of a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) II under minimal supervision at a high level of proficiency, demonstrating exemplary work behaviors and ownership for the success of the work area.
• Demonstrate competency in CPhT I responsibilities.
• Maintain medications and supplies used for compounding purposes.
• Compound various medication formulations.
• Understand and practice compounding according to United States Pharmacopeia requirements on non-sterile, sterile, and hazardous preparations.
• Repackage bulk medications into a unit-dosed form, including patient-specific doses.
