Certified Pharmacy Technician - CARE (Hybrid)

Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service in a phone-based environment.
- Enter and process prescription information accurately and quickly.
- Utilize drug knowledge to handle prescription authorizations, clarifications, and transfers.
- Perform claim adjudication and auditing tasks such as prior authorizations, billing, and eligibility checks.
- Make outbound calls to patients to address care issues.
- Act as a liaison between clinical pharmacists and other medical professionals.
- Support new patient onboarding and maintain patient records with strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Retrieve and verify prescription information through doctor calls.
- Place welcome calls to newly on-boarded patients and establish a trusted point of contact.
- Manage patient medication profiles and assist with high-volume, fast-paced environments.
- Represent AnewHealth’s core values in all communications and interactions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Certified with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Health Association (NHA) and maintain a current certificate.
- Maintain a pharmacy technician registration with the State Board of Pharmacy.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Prior experience in a pharmacy setting.
- Ability to work in an office-based (or remote) setting for 90% of the time.
Skills & Abilities
- Comfortable working in a phone-based environment.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
- Skilled in utilizing computer equipment and multiple software programs for receiving medication authorizations, clarifications, and transfers.
- Exceptional customer service skills, especially in handling doctor’s offices, pharmacists, and patients.
- Thorough drug knowledge and pharmacy billing knowledge.
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Passionate about helping people and enriching their lives.
- Ability to think critically and document pertinent details compliant with state and federal regulations.
Physical/Mental Demands
This position is administrative in nature and requires hearing, seeing, sitting, standing, talking, and walking. Must be able to commute to multiple site locations within the assigned territory and work extended hours as needed.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with an average of 40 hours per week. Schedules may be adjusted as needed to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization.
Travel
Travel may be required for special organization or department events, department team meetings, trade shows, conferences, and other client engagements.
