General Summary
PRN (as needed) at Gibson Elite - 3:00pm-7:00pm. Up to 20 hours per week.
Principle Duties And Responsibilities
- Provides personalized training in accordance with individuals needs goals through a variety of athletically functional activities.
- Maintains nationally recognized certification (Ex: CSCS, CPT, PES, CES).
- Completes required continuing education units.
- Receives & conveys messages appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Provides courteous, cooperative services to patients, visitors & staff & demonstrates good communications skills.
- Recognizes any potential health risks or barriers to exercise upon evaluation and manage them appropriately.
- Reports to the dept. director all incidents, equipment malfunctions, and program related issues.
- Affords assistance in performing various clerical functions, such as filing charts, making copies, faxing, etc.
- Maintains an orderly, sanitized, and safe work environment.
- Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field by reading appropriate books, journals and other literature and attending related conferences and in-services.
- Accurately completes processes for new patients, including accurate registration information.
- Completes required/requested tasks in a timely manner and without prompting.
- Participates in the Sport and Fitness improvement activities of the department.
- Performs work within specified time frames.
- Adapts positively to frequent changes and interruptions in workload &/ or work schedules.
- Adheres to department policies and procedures.
- Uses time efficiently and productively to enhance dept. operations & the success of the dept.
- Completes all competency/skills assessments and training as required.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
- Complies with the organizational attendance policy and use of the electronic timekeeping system.
- Complies with dress code
Qualifications
- Will work no less than 30 but no more than 40 hours a week, or 60-80 ppd.
- Work hours outside of normal business day to accommodate for client availability and Elite coverage to include early mornings, evenings, and weekends, as required or needed.
- Understands that the workload and total hours per week changes based on the client volumes, and therefore manages time effectively.
- Understands that work schedule is required to be flexible and will be determined by staffing needs and client volumes.
- Employee work schedules can be changed at any time to meet these needs.
- Communicates effectively with clients, Elite Sport and Fitness team, department peers, and directors.
