Certified Personal Trainer

About the role

Full-time Certified Personal Trainer position at FFC Park Ridge. Commission-based compensation with bonuses for new trainers.

Pay

• Commission rates range from $40 - $74 per session based on experience and certifications.
• New trainers have the opportunity to earn bonuses ($500-$1000/month) in their first 3 months.

Schedule

• New trainers choose 5+ shifts per week (6 hours each), including at least one weekend shift.
• Full-time commitment: 30 hours/week, including weekends.

Responsibilities

First 90 Days

• Manage the InBody machine, Fitness Desk, etc.
• Oversee the fitness floor
• Greet members - get to know our members!
• Perform outreach (email/calls) - building your book of business is a major part of this job.
• Use sales techniques to show your expertise and value as a top notch trainer!

Ongoing Duties

• Build Your Business: Grow your client base through prospecting (calls, emails, social media).
• Manage Your Schedule: Organize weekly appointments.
• Drive Results: Help meet individual and department goals.
• Enhance the Environment: Keep the fitness floor clean and safe.
• Engage New Members: Create personalized workout plans.
• Be a Fitness Resource: Assist members on the fitness floor with exercises.
• Promote FFC Programs: Match members to relevant programs.
• Deliver Quality Training: Help clients achieve fitness goals.
• Stay Sharp: Keep certifications up-to-date.
• Community Involvement: Volunteer for special events.
• Organize Client Files: Maintain detailed records.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's in exercise physiology or related field
• Certification: Nationally accredited Personal Training certification
• Experience: 2+ years in a health club setting with proven sales experience
• Expertise: Must be or have been a Master and/or Elite level trainer
• Safety: CPR and AED certification
