Certified Personal Trainer

About the Role

Certified Personal Trainer position at FFC South Loop, full-time (30 hours/week, including weekends). Commission-based earnings range from $40 - $74 per session based on experience and certifications. New trainers can earn bonuses of $500-$1000/month during their first 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow your client base through prospecting (calls, emails, social media).
• Manage and organize weekly training appointments.
• Oversee the fitness floor, including managing the InBody machine and Fitness Desk.
• Greet members and build relationships to understand their needs.
• Perform outreach (email/calls) to expand your book of business using sales techniques.
• Help meet individual and department goals.
• Maintain a clean and safe fitness floor environment.
• Engage new members by creating personalized workout plans.
• Assist members on the fitness floor with exercises and act as a fitness resource.
• Promote FFC programs and match members to relevant offerings.
• Deliver quality training to help clients achieve their fitness goals.
• Keep certifications up-to-date and participate in continued education.
• Volunteer for special events and community involvement.
• Maintain detailed and organized client files.

First 60-90 Days

• Choose 5+ shifts per week (6 hours each), including at least one weekend shift.
• Manage the InBody machine and Fitness Desk.
• Oversee the fitness floor and greet members to build relationships.
• Perform outreach (email/calls) to build your book of business.

Requirements

• Nationally accredited Personal Training certification.
• CPR and AED certification.
• 2+ years of experience in a health club setting with proven sales experience.
• Must be or have been a Master and/or Elite level trainer.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology or a related field.
