About the role

Cummins Behavioral Health Systems is seeking a Certified Peer Support Professional (CPSP) to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team in Avon, Indiana.

Responsibilities

  • Use personal lived experience in recovery from both a mental health condition and a substance use disorder to support others in their recovery.
  • Collaborate with clients to set and achieve recovery goals.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to help clients build hope and resilience.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive care planning.
  • Engage in ongoing education and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Personal lived experience in recovery from both a mental health condition and a substance use disorder.
  • Demonstrated ability to use that experience professionally to support others in their recovery.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Indiana Driver's license.

Qualifications

  • Completed state-approved Certified Peer Support Professional (CPSP) certification.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications.

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
