About the role
Cummins Behavioral Health Systems is seeking a Certified Peer Support Professional (CPSP) to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team in Avon, Indiana.
Responsibilities
- Use personal lived experience in recovery from both a mental health condition and a substance use disorder to support others in their recovery.
- Collaborate with clients to set and achieve recovery goals.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to help clients build hope and resilience.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive care planning.
- Engage in ongoing education and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Personal lived experience in recovery from both a mental health condition and a substance use disorder.
- Demonstrated ability to use that experience professionally to support others in their recovery.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Indiana Driver's license.
Qualifications
- Completed state-approved Certified Peer Support Professional (CPSP) certification.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
