Certified Peer Specialist - Diversion Center and Services - Night Shift

The Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) at Grady works with individuals experiencing serious mental illness and serves as a role model of recovery. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing group and/or individual training and counseling
  2. Counseling and support for service coordination
  3. Aiding in the completion of Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP)
  4. Maintaining a community linkage
  5. Offering advocacy support to meet individual needs

Qualifications include:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Current certification as Peer Specialist (CPS) through the Georgia DBHDD/Georgia Mental Health Consumer Network
  • At least two years of experience with Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) and/or addictive diseases
  • A current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider Card
  • CERT and WRAP certifications are preferred
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred
