Grant funded Certified Peer Recovery Specialist position responsible for maintaining addiction recovery program case files and documentation, managing the client database, assisting with program development and planning, and coordinating with outside providers.

• Maintain client database

Requirements

• Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse disorders
• Knowledge of the recovery process
• Understanding of basic principles related to health and wellness
• Familiarity with ethics and boundaries
• Awareness of trauma and impact recovery processes
• Cultural sensitivity and practice
• Experience with crisis intervention methods
• Experience delivering peer services
• Ability to network with local and community resources
• High School Diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency Diploma
• Certified Peer Recovery Specialist Certification from the Virginia Certification Board
• At least one year of recovery is required

$46,000 (3 Year Grant) – NO VRS BENEFITS
