Certified Patient Care Technician - Hastings Hemodialysis Center

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on patient care under the supervision of nurses
• Access dialysis ports and monitor patients throughout treatment
• Take and document vital signs every 30 minutes
• Set up, operate, break down, and clean dialysis machines
• Perform water room testing and temperature checks
• Stock supplies and prepare/pack laboratory specimens
• Document patient care and treatment information in the EMR

Requirements

• Frequent standing, bending, reaching, charting, and moving equipment and supplies
• Comfortable working with needles and blood

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain CCHT certification within 18 months of hire

Benefits

• Full-time Monday/Wednesday/Friday position
• No weekend requirement
• Shifts begin at 3:30 a.m. with 12-hour shifts
• Patient treatments start as early as 4:45–5:00 a.m. and continue through approximately 8:00 p.m.
