Certified Patient Care Assistant CNA LNA

About the role

Banner Gateway Medical Center is seeking a Licensed CNA or LNA Patient Care Assistant to join the Progressive Care Unit (PCU).

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance in activities of daily living and completes necessary tasks to promote patient health.
• Absorbs and documents vital signs, input/output, and other delegated measurements.
• Communicates patient status to other caregivers.
• Performs procedures and uses equipment as delegated by a licensed professional.
• Supports medical staff and patients for unit-specific procedures.
• Transports patient specimens and performs receptionist/clerical duties.
• Maintains adequate supplies of frequently used patient education materials.
• Reconciles supply order upon delivery.
• Monitors and tracks the use and whereabouts of electronic equipment.
• Assists with transporting patients, including pre-operative and immediate post-operative patients to critical care units.
• Participates in OR room turnover.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in state of practice.

Qualifications

• Medical clerical experience (preferred).
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy.
• Basic electrocardiogram interpretation course or on-the-job training (preferred).

Benefits

• 18%-night shift differential.
• Flat rate $1/hour weekend shift differential.

Pay

• $3,000 sign on bonus for a Licensed CNA or LNA.

Schedule

• Night shift position working three 12-hour shifts per week.
