About the role
Assist the occupational therapist with the administration of a medically prescribed occupational therapy program for assigned patient/clients.
Function under the direct supervision of the occupational therapist responsible for a specific patient’s/client’s care.
Absorb responsibility and accountability for providing occupational therapy modalities and treatment procedures as determined by a treatment plan of care established by an occupational therapist and in accordance with established facility and departmental policies and procedures while maintaining the highest degrees of quality care.

Requirements
- Current Iowa licensure, registration and/or certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) as per state regulations
- Graduated from an accredited OTA education program and is eligible to take or has successfully completed the NBCOT examination for OTAs - The education program for U.S. trained OTAs is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE)
- BLS certified within 3 months of hire
Qualifications
- Graduate of a 2-year accredited Radiology program
